I’m sat here with a cuppa, staring at my laptop and wondering how creative and fun I can make this post… Anything to improve my chances of being one of the lucky few to be chosen as a Mark Warner Ambassador for 2015.
What’s this you ask?
Mark Warner has over 40 years’ experience in providing fantastic ski and beach holidays for the whole family – and their renowned childcare programme for all ages includes free babysitting services in the evening, plus all their hotels are family-friendly. Which, in my view, is pretty important when all members of the clan need to be catered for. And, the fact Mark Warner has won countless industry plaudits including the British Travel Awards three times no less, means they’re pretty clued up about holidays.
So, they’re looking for five blogging ambassadors to represent the company, and to be in with a chance of being selected, I have to describe our perfect family holiday…
I’m so lucky and privileged to have visited and experienced over 30 different countries in my 35 years, and since having my son, that’s only spurred me on to continue with creating new adventures – this time as a family of three. There are so many parts to a trip that make it special. But it’s often the simplest things in life that give us the most pleasure.
He’s happiest when he’s scoffing an ice-cream, swimming and playing on the beach – preferably all three at the same time!
I’m lucky in the sense that my very patient other half is pretty laid-back, or is it just because he wants an easy life? He doesn’t ask for much, a bit of sight-seeing and culture, a few beers and a round of golf – if someone would actually go and play with him…
I love the sunshine, feeling the warmth on my face makes me happy. And now that I have a toddler, I especially like lying flat like a vegetable on a sun lounger even if it’s only for 15 minutes – be it by a pool or on the beach. I’m not fussy. I also love my food, in fact, I’m a bit of a gorger really, and eating out alfresco makes it taste all the better.
For Hubby and I
I’m not going to lie, a trip away wouldn’t be complete without a few drinks… especially an ice-cold beverage. Look at these…it’s like there’s a tropical paradise in each glass!
But not too many mind… Now that we’re parents we can’t cope with…
However, even though all those elements are important in making the perfect family holiday there is one essential ingredient that is the most special to us all – everything else is just a bonus, because when all’s said and done, ‘perfect’ is when the three of us are able to enjoy quality time together.
