I’ve not really ventured too far… Since mid-January and the birth of Peanut, I’ve been pretty much confined to the house and my local area.
I’ve only recently being able to walk any distance and drive again. Meanwhile, poor Monkey has been chomping at the bit to go somewhere other than the local park. (more…)

It’s always at this time of the year that I relish looking back at our adventures. It’s a lovely exercise in remembering the good times, focusing on all the positive experiences we’ve had and banishing the not so good – which I am pleased to say have been few and far between.
‘May you all find a marvellous adventure’ is the key motto of My Travel Monkey. And it’s a phrase I stand by – not just for myself and my family, but for all my readers who want to be inspired to travel and get out and explore. (more…)
After reading a recent Telegraph article from Grant Feller who outlines his arguments to why he thinks far-flung luxury travel is wasted on the young, and why he believes it’s not worth doing until children are teenagers, I found myself questioning my own motives to why I want to travel so much with my son.
